Show of Giant Cats in Kyiv?

When I saw this headline, I was stunned. Could there possibly be people bringing 200 lions, tigers, leopards, and jaguars to some place called Kyiv's Ukrainian House?!?!?!

Well, no. As it turns out, the term "giant cats" refers to "mainly Maine Coon, Persian and British Shorthair breeds from Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Poland, Belarus and Romania." Phew! That's a relief!

These very large domestic breeds are remarkable to see and fun to watch. Read more about this cat show and find out which cat won the "biggest cat" prize at this link: http://www.kyivpost.com/multimedia/photo/cats-show-331389.html

Big Cats in a Box

You may remember "_Sofie is the Cat in the Box_" from our last episode... er... my last post.

As it turns out, the folks at Big Cat Rescue did "the box thing" with a few felines of considerably larger size than Sofie, with amusing results! Just press "play"!

(Sofie made me do it!)
